Can I form a separate LLC in the state I want to do business in?

Asked 7 months ago

I have a retail décor business that I formed under an LLC business structure. I have a few trucks in a different state where I move the furniture from our warehouse. I don’t want to file for a foreign qualification since I might set up our head offices there. Can I create another LLC entity in a different state?

You could set up another LLC in a different state. This would need to be a separate business with separate bank accounts, EINs, licenses, etc. If you want to continue to use the same bank accounts/EINs, you can register as a foreign LLC and then domesticate your LLC later if you choose to set up the main office there.
