Should I file an annual report with the state where my LLC is registered?

Asked 2 years ago

When deciding to choose to register my company as an LLC a few months ago, I did it with a filing service and I barely asked too many questions. I needed the company registered as quickly as possible, and I did not bother with the details. The company has all the necessary business documents and licenses. Do we still have to file an annual or biannual report? And can I do it in any state?

You may or may not need to file an annual report with the state where your LLC is registered. Not all states require LLCs to file an annual report. Some require LLCs to file reports only periodically, while others have no filing requirements at all.
