What are the must-have documents when registering an LLC?
Hi there, I am putting together a presentation for my business partners. I want to convince them to take the LLC route when we register our company. I need to know which documents are required during the filing process, lest we choose to fill out our paperwork independently. Thank you!Asked 9 months ago

Should I file an annual report with the state where my LLC is registered?
When deciding to choose to register my company as an LLC a few months ago, I did it with a filing service and I barely asked too many questions. I needed the company registered as quickly as possible, and I did not bother with the details. The company has all the necessary business documents and licenses. Do we still have to file an annual or biannual report? And can I do it in any state?Asked 9 months ago

Do LLC filing services cost the same as using an attorney?
I need to register my business as an LLC, but I am not too confident in my ability to navigate all the complexities of forming an entity in my state. A friend suggested I hire an LLC filing service to sort out the paperwork for the business, but the other members suggested we hire an attorney to file the paperwork for us. I’m too frugal, so I'd prefer to hire whoever would cost us less and get the job done efficiently.Asked 8 months ago

What employee info do I need to submit my LLC documents for filing?
Hi all, I'm finally ready to submit my LLC documents to register my company, and even though it hasn't been registered, I already have a couple of employees that are working for me. Do I need to include their information, or can I file for an LLC without it? Also, how will it change the dynamic they're working in? Will I have to include employee benefits after the company has been registered? Asked 8 months ago

Will I be double taxed if I register my business as a corporation?
I want to register my company as a corporation, but I am not sure how this will work out for me if, as the owner, I will be working for the corporation. Would I then be subjected to double taxation when I report my income? Is this any different than with an LLC?Asked 9 months ago

Am I required to have a corporation in order to hire employees?
Since a corporation's structure and the process of forming one is a bit more rigid than the structure of an LLC, would this mean that I can only hire employees if I choose to form a corporation? I need to know what the main difference is between these two entities is before I pick one. Thanks in advance!Asked 9 months ago

Can I switch between an LLC and a corporation?
Choosing a business structure is often a decision that is made in the beginning when the owner forms the business. So what if my business needs changes once I have registered the business as an LLC instead of a corporation? Would switching from one entity to another be an issue, or is it not possible once you choose one of the others?Asked 9 months ago
