Are there businesses that are better suited to being an LLC?

Asked 2 years ago

I want to run a startup, but I’m not sure which business structure is right for my company. I want to form a corporation so I can get more investors and shareholders in the long run. I’m not sure if my business is more suited to being an LLC or a corporation. Does the business size matter when you choose an entity?

Size might matter when you're choosing an entity structure. It depends on your personal and business goals. Corporations offer easier ways to raise capital, but business profits are taxed twice. And the compliance requirements and startup costs associated with corporations may be too much for a new business to manage.
