Is a payroll service a better option to improve payroll data security?

Asked 2 years ago

I am seeking to improve the payroll process for my business, but I’m not sure if outsourcing will complicate or improve things in terms of security. My main concern is keeping payroll data secure from any possible loss and tampering. I don’t know if having a full-time payroll manager or having a third party would be best.

Storing your data locally can be difficult; you must ensure that documents are inaccessible to unauthorized parties. Most third-party payroll providers have high levels of encryption to keep your data secure, offer self-service to allow employees to enter their sensitive data, and store historical payroll documents securely.
